Because this group is broad, judging a listing on freshness, turnover and how consistent recent reviews are tends to work better than judging by decor or price range alone. Most kitchens in Greensboro will adjust a dish for common dietary needs like gluten-free or vegetarian if you ask when ordering. Hours vary widely: diners and fast-food chains often stay open late or around the clock, while bakeries and cafes tend to open early and close mid-afternoon. Catering and food delivery businesses in North Carolina usually require advance notice, from a day for a small order up to a week or more for a large event, so it is worth contacting them early.

Greensboro is in North Carolina, in the Southeast, where summers are long, hot and humid, winters are mild, and afternoon thunderstorms and the hurricane season from June to November can change plans at short notice. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Greensboro follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

❗️❗️I FERVENTLY HATE that I chose this place, KAU to celebrate my Wife’s road to 40 milestone❗️❗️ -We were going to call & reserve a LARGE space here for around 50 people come out for my Wife’s birthday & HAVE KAU cater the food. HELL NO, absolutely not, now I have to call & inform the attendees there’s a MAJOR change of plans I wished I would’ve went to Epic Chophouse, like I intended to do initially. We arrived 20 minutes after they opened which was 11:50, they open at 11:30 so WHY WAS EVERYTHING WE ORDERED was BLAND & FLAVORLESS It tasted like NOTHING. The SOUL ROLLs didn’t have a BIT OF SOUL NOWHERE IN IT. Collard Dip was THE BEST THING WE ORDERED. Then the main entree was beef tips bowl. Green beans tasted like they were cooked in water, I flavor, mashed potatoes were BLAND & the BEEF TIPS were HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE AWFUL. ❗️TO WHOVEVER READING THIS, choose Epic Chophouse over Kau❗️for real flavor & great dining experience

We recently had a surprise birthday dinner in their private dining space upstairs. The venue was great. The service flowed well considering we had a large group. Natalie our primary server was wonderful and the GM David was very accommodating, responsive, and made planning a breeze.

## Review: Kau **Overall Experience** The restaurant is located in a lovely area with the major perk of having plenty of parking. The interior has a great vibe—very old-school and rustic, which makes for a nice atmosphere. **The Food** * **Collard Green Dip:** This was a standout and really delicious. * **Brisket Tacos:** Very solid and flavorful. * **Brisket Mac & Cheese:** This one was a bit of a letdown. It felt more like noodles in a thin sauce rather than a traditional, thick, and gooey mac & cheese. The pasta was also prepared very al dente, so it had a firmer bite than you’d expect for this kind of comfort dish. **The Service** Service was decent, though a bit surprising given the timing. There were only about three tables occupied during the lunch rush, so I expected things to be a bit more attentive and polished than they were. --- ### Alternative "Quick-Post" Version (Short & Sweet) > Stopped by Kau for lunch and loved the rustic, old-school interior. The collard green dip and brisket tacos were both delicious! However, the brisket mac & cheese missed the mark—it was more like noodles in sauce and lacked that thick, gooey consistency you want in mac & cheese. Servi

This is our first time eating here and the atmosphere is amazing. The food really flavorful. If you like lemon pepper wings, try these!! The dry rub is a full coverage with a lemon flavor that lingers.(In a good way) The collard green dip was a huge hit at our table.

First of all, love the play on the name. Interior has a good industrial vibe with a soaring ceiling, and lots of exposed wood and metal. The space has a very LA feel to it, which is nice to see in Greensboro. No sound baffling anywhere inside with a lot of hardscapes, so the sound level was very loud to the point you couldn't hear the music. Seared tuna appetizer was excellent, although it could have been a tad less seared and more raw. Tasted like housemade wasabi with the tuna 👍🏼. Steak was cooked well, but had some unexpected gristle. The potatoes were fairly bland and didn't taste like they had any seasoning. Wine list is decent but could include more options. And a Malbec. Waitress was very friendly, but a little slow throughout the night, then not aware we were ready for the check. Couldn't choose 3.5 stars, so I gave 4 since it's definitely better than 3. All in all, not what I'd expect on most levels for the price point, but we'd definitely go back and try again.
